What Is Your Daybreak Home Really Worth?

Your home can have several different “values,” and they don’t all mean the same thing. Here’s how market value, county assessed value, and an independent appraisal differ, and when each number matters.

Market Value
What buyers may realistically pay for your home in today’s market.

County Assessed Value
The value used primarily for property tax purposes.

Independent Appraisal
A licensed appraiser’s opinion of value at a specific point in time.

How to use all three

Your assessed value helps you understand your property taxes. An appraisal gives you an independent opinion of value when one is needed. And your current market value is generally the most useful number when you want to understand what your home could realistically sell for today.

We’re always happy to help you make sense of the numbers and understand what’s happening in the neighborhood.
